On Wings of Silence

In the silence of my mind
I hear her lovely voice
Its persistent chatter tells me
I have very little choice

A new wind howled inside me
Making angels seem a sin
And by an unknown accident
A little bird flew in

An angel dove has settled here
With excitement on her wings
She makes the moon shine brighter
She causes the night to sing

And like an innocent child
I'm enchanted by her song
But to hold such a beautiful creature
Would undoubtedly be wrong

And like all angels must
This bird will fly away
But I will hang on every word
Until she's gone to stay
