Dandelion

A dandelion
Abeautiful flower
A weed
To be trampled on
And pulled out
Of the most beautiful gardens
Never picked for vases
Mowed away
Or left to fade
Into a skeleton
Once beautiful
Yellow with hope
Now they are left
To blow in the wind
So many of them
Overlooked
Tossed away
Some of us are born a rose
But I was born
A dandelion
